Robin Francisco, LPC

Treatment Issues:  Eating Disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia, Compulsive Overeating)


Education and Training:  Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University.  Master's degree in Christian Cousneling from Oral Roberts University.

 

Background and Experience:  Robin has extensive experience both in an outpatient and inpatient setting working with eating disorders and other clinical issues.


Special Interests and Services:  Robin works with adults, geriatrics, couples, and families on issues including depression, grief, chemical addictions, marital, abuse, and women's concerns.  She has a special place in her heart for those struggling with spiritual issues.  Robin incorporates the truths of God's word regarding His desire for people to be free of addicitons and how much He loves them.

 

Shannon Johnson, M.D.

Treatment Issues:  Psychiatry, Depression, Biopolar Disorder, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Psychosis, Post Partum Depression, Geriatrics

Education and Training:  Medical Degree from the University of South Alabama.   Internship and residency at the University of Texas Heath Sciences Center at San Antonio, TX.

Special Interests and Services:  Includes adult psychiatry, depression, bipolar, anxiety, panic attacks, psychosis, postpartum depression, geriatrics, along with a variety of other issues and disorders.

L.P.C. = Licensed Professional Counselor.  The counselor has completed a Master's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 1,500 clinical and 1,500 administrative hours experience, and has passed a written examination administered by the State of Texas.  The counselor must show proof of 15 hours per year of continuing education and there may be no unresolved disciplinary action in order to maintain the license that is renewable every two years.  Three hours of the yearly continuing education must be on ethics. 

 

L.M.F.T. = Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  In addition to the above information regarding L.P.C., the counselor must take two classes on Assessment (testing used in couples and family counseling) and a practicum.  Out of the 1,500 clinical hours, 750 must be couple/family and 750 individual.  These can be accumulated simultaneously with the L.P.C. hours.

 

M.A./M.S./M. Ed. = Master's of Arts, Science, or Education Degree.  This degree is awarded after successful completion of advanced study after a person has earned a Bachelor's degree.  This typically involves an additional two years of full-time class work at an accredited institution and often includes additional clinical experience in the chosen field of specialized study.
